IT’S NOT A LONELY WORLD: A MEMOIR ON THE EDGE (Trembling Pillow Press, 2022)

Winner, Karen Dunning Scholarly/Creative Activity Award selected by the Women’s & Gender Studies Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

A cross-genre memoir.

Here’s an overview, from my dissertation abstract:

“By exploring a loved oneโ€™s and my own unique and, at times, dovetailing experiences with gender, involving illness and queerness, respectively, my work inquires into, and navigates, the myriad ‘rules’ surrounding gendered bodiesโ€”namely bodies that, temporarily or lifelong, do not conform to pervasive cultural norms.”
